THE ARGUMENT
What are the consequences of taking your children out of school to go to Disney World on their education?
Taking your children out of school to go to Disney World will benefit their education,
because taking your children out of school to go to Disney World has educational benefits.
So whatever has educational benefits also benefits your children's education.
THE AUDIENCE
The audience are mothers and fathers living in America either with a) financial ability to take a large family vacation or b) live close enough to Orlando, Florida that the trip would not be as expensive. These parents are also involved in and value their children's academics and education. The audiences also really loves the Disney company.
THE GOAL
The goal is to convince parents that taking their children out of school to go to Disney World will not hurt their child's education because there are so many educational opportunities for their children to participate in at Disney World.
HOW??
This argument appeals to PATHOS because the parents already want to take their children to Disney World and this article is telling them that it is okay to do so during the school year when there are less crowds and the weather is nicer.
This argument appeals to LOGOS because it explains specific ways in which the child could learn at Disney World making it a logical decision to go there. It is also logical to go when there are less people and weather is not as hot because those visiting will get the most out of the money they spend and not have to deal with crowds and uncomfortable heat.
The argument appeals to ETHOS because it talks about all of the various professionals that are there to help your child learn. From the people in the Epcot world showcase who are natives of the country they represent to the animal experts in Animal Kingdom who are there to teach the children about the various animals.
This argument is SUFFICIENT because it covers all different types of education (math, history, biology, art, economics, etc) and it also talks about each individual park and what it has to offer.
This argument is TYPICAL because it relates to the type of education the audience values.
This argument is ACCURATE because all of the information is true and it is possible for a child to learn things at Disney World.
This argument is RELEVANT to the audience because the audience has children that they want to take to Disney World but they don't want to go when the weather is miserable and the lines are hours long so this argument gives them a solution.
EFFECTIVE??
This argument is effective because it addresses the two things the audience values: their child's education and a fun family vacation. This argument helped the audience to understand that they can have both things at the same time.
SO LETS GET DISNEY WITH IT!!!
